SSRS Interview Questions - How do you set parameter on a Drill through report in SSRS?

Drill-through report is report that is open by the clicking a link within another another report.

Let's think about a real time scenario, Where we have Region Sale Summary report. Once we click on Region value, we would like to open a detail report for sale in that region.


To have detail report that should open by clicking on Region Cell value, we need to create this detail report with Region Parameter.As we will be passing value to parameter from Main report, we need to hide the parameter. Go to Parameter properties and click visibility=hidden.

Now go back to Region Sale Summary report. Click on the Region Cell Value and then go to Action. In action choose Go to Report. You will be choosing Detail Report Name and then map the Cell Value to Parameter.
